A personal goal for 2012 is to focus on the word believe. Why? It’s one of the most important words in the Bible…

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

I’ve been doing some research…

Our journey to believe is extremely personal. For sure, we can talk it up and maybe we should… kinda like writing about it I guess. Sharing is splendid… worthy… especially when we’re talking goodness.

When I start to think about believe and when I launch into looking…

  •  I need to gaze within. Honestly. Sincerely. Gaze… I have to look deeply within… and I need to do so in my humblest moment to really see. Looking for? An appraisal. This process is continual. I could think of it as the mirror inspection too… what do I see? what do others see?
  •  I need to look up and communicate. Communicate… most importantly, I need to listen. Have questions? Ask away! Just pray… ask… and then listen. This idea of believe… it’s mostly just Jesus and me. That’s it. It’s within the inner circle.

Looking in… looking up… and only then on to Part III:

  •  I need to look around. That’s a part of applying believe in my life. I have to believe and make a difference. I have to believe and do good… Applying believe to my viewpoint… applying believe to every aspect of my walk through life. How I teach… How I lead… How I use the Word…

Believe I can make a difference…

Believe…

and do good…

Believe is extremely personal.

As a believer and follower of Jesus, I have to keep on keeping on… keep on looking in… looking up… and then looking around.

Is there a question that you have for God… one that is relevant to the strength of your faith?
