Being Squeezed… Just Ripe!

What?

Yep, squeezie hugs feel good. There’s something about one that makes us all warm inside.

Squeezie hugs are energizing… and they’re renewing.

Submitting… I think in our world today it brings out a feeling of weakness. We’re encouraged to want to be omnipotent in our own way, with the thought that being a very strong person is in some way a Godsend. Maybe sometimes. I’m not so sure that’s always the case though…

The difference, it seems, more importantly, is how we’re filled with the Holy Spirit… submitting to Him fills us with the Spirit.

I have been thinking about being on the mountain vs. when we’re in the valley… and how this fits in with being squeezed… just ripe!

How the depth of our faith and love for God is displayed in the valley. We may gain some “being squeezed… just ripe!” strength on the mountaintop, and we just need to carry that love and resilience to the valley to do God’s good work. I guess you could say we get ripe on the mountain… and do the squeezing… and submitting down in the in between.

Submitting… in terms of bringing me closer to God, it’s probably down in the valley that I am usually brought closer to Him.

Why is that?

I guess when I’m up on the mountain and living large I want to break away…

and when I’m down there in the trenches I need Him.

That sucks in a way… to admit it. But so true.

“I will walk through the valley if you want me to…”

Cool song that goes with.

Submitting changes people through the power of the Holy Spirit.

“And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.” Hebrews 11 : 32-34

Being Squeezed… Just Ripe!

Having weakness turned to strength…

And made perfect in Him…

Hope you have an amazing week!!
