Friday’s are now all about you!
I’m making Friday posts here a place where you, the readers and community, can share.
I’m very thankful for you.
On Friday, it’s All About You!
if you dare to share here is the place on Fridays…
Today: Please join us for sharing the love and answer 3 fun facts about you:
- Terms Of Endearment: nicknames… we all have them… funny (hopefully) … mean (ohnono!)… please share a nickname that someone has given you.
- Favorite Author?
- The last time you had an entire day to yourself, what did you do?
Fun idea, Chris.
1. Hubby calls me “Boss” and “Sport.”
2. Favorite author: J.K. Rowling and Patricia MacLachan are tied
3. Entire day? What’s that? Answer: write, of course. Yes, all day and into the night. An entire day is 24 hours, right? Write!
Nickname: I was “Boo” to my friends in high school; my college nicknames were a bit too racy to share here. These days, my hoop friend Karen (aka Khaanee) calls me T.
Favorite author: Jane Austen
What did I do the last time I had an entire day to myself? Well, I’ve had an entire week to myself – thanks to being laid off last Friday – so I’ve been job hunting online, catching up on reading poetry blogs and blog chain posts, crocheting, writing a little (a couple of poems and a lot of online job applications), and just enjoying not having to wake up with an alarm clock.
1. My husband calls me “Sweetheart.”
2. I don’t have a favorite author. I have to agree with the two above: Jane Austen and J.K. Rowling. Agatha Christie also ranks high. I love so many that it’s hard to choose.
3. I haven’t had an entire day to myself in a very long time. I have had a few hours and spent them (wasted them?) online.
Well Chris, I actually have a few minutes to respond to you! Apparently my dad called me Flossie May when I was really little and I was Dede to a good portion of my family growing up.
Favorite authors…hmmm…that’s a good one! Diana Gabaldon, JK Rowling, Kate Gibbons, Shane Claiborne, Charlotte Bronte, and the list could go on for a very long time!
A whole day alone? I haven’t had one in years. I’ve had several hours at a time and usually waste them away doing something ultra exciting like laundry, or taking a nap!
What about you Chris? Any other nicknames other than Mouse?
i really enjoyed reading all of these today! yes, my mom still calls me mouse at times, i was incredibly shy as a child… i have one more i’ll share here, it’s Papi – my grandpa name. Thank you all again for sharing the love 🙂
Oh I like Papi – that’s a great one! Mouse is nice, too 😉
Fun idea, Chris!
1. As a child? Button; From my husband? Luv; My favorite? Mom 🙂
2. Favorite authors? Luci Shaw and Robert Frost
3. A whole day alone? Reading, writing, and time outdoors with my camera and lenses — ahhhhh…peace!
