Baby Emma was born just a few months ago. At the time of her delivery, our family was lined up wall to wall waiting in anticipation, Â and when she was born we all wanted at first a glimpse and then to hold her and love on her. That was 3 months ago… and now I find myself wanting to see her every time I’m away from her for more than a few days in a row. I can see her growing and learning more every day, and I am anxious to be a part of that. Usually my daughter Allie feeds “Baby M,” and I’m eager to experience this as well.
Reaching Out To Feed The Baby… I believe many of us know this experience and can share about how it warms our heart to be involved in the lives of children.
When I think of Jesus and his time here on earth walking in the flesh…
how and what He taught…
the message that He shared…
I think He provided the perfect example of Reaching Out To Feed The Baby… that we are all God’s children… this is our learning ground for Greater Things … and how we can extend this loving gesture and apply it more broadly in our daily walk… and beyond our immediate family to the fellowship of other believers, and beyond…
In that light I wanted to share a passage from the Book of Acts, the footprint of our church today…
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:42-47
Reaching Out To Feed The Baby…
that’s how the irresistible love that Jesus demonstrated for us grew…
Where do you see the love that Jesus most alive and radiating today?
This is a wonderful post, Chris and a beautiful picture of Baby Emma.
I feel like I’m the baby that Jesus is feeding through his Word and love. Maybe one day I’ll grow up but not anytime soon.
P.S. Is tomorrow your daughter’s wedding? Praying you all will be blessed.
