Going Deep in football requires Teamwork with a capital T. Other plays require teamwork for sure… The hand off… the short pass … even the field goal required a team effort. Going Deep is different..
Something more…
More significant…
More glory…
More God.
Think about the greatest play you can remember in a football game… if you’re a FSU fan it might be “Leroy Butler and the puntrooskie” … if you’re not it might be “wide right… or wide left” … one of my favorites is the “Hail Flutie” … The Miracle In Miami… Doug Flutie’s Hail Mary for Boston College’s 1984 win over the University of Miami?
The Big Play is like what God is asking of us in unity. We can do some great things around here… Just look around and you’ll see plenty going on…
How do we achieve more?
How do we make an impact that will be eternal?
How do we Go Deep?
Going Deep Requires…
- people to come together and work in unison.
- stepping out of our comfort zone.
- stepping out… in faith.
Will you be a part of a “Hail Flutie” … a part of something phenomenally good for God’s glory?
Will you be…
… going deep for God’s glory?
… on His Team?
Will you be a part of The Big Play: Going Deep with a Capital T?
I like that…going deep…
I don’t keep up with sports very much…but i’ve seen some good plays…
It’s always worth it to go deep…especially for his glory.
yep yep yep… i think i’m going to change my screen name to “sure writes a lot” so i can pony up to the square table 🙂
LOL! I like it!
I’m thinking of doing another continue the story game next friday…maybe…
If you didn’t know…my wife and I started the story…i posted it on friday and I asked others to continue the story…everyone who added to the story…or suggested something…I finished it and i incorporated everyone who participated in the story!…
I hope next time you can participate…
of course it would be a totally different awesome story!!!
will keep an eye open for the next one on your blog, Be Great Arny 🙂
Good metaphor. It’s amazing what can be accomplished when people work together. I’ve found it difficult, though, to know when to stop pressing on a particular issue and let God work it out instead.
