Are you feeling lonely on your journey through life?
There’s a good story about traveling on the road in the Book of Luke in The Bible (see Luke 24:13-35).
it goes something like this…
the two dudes are walking down the road…
and talking…
they were disillusioned…
maybe mislead by the master of manipulation?
indeed, many in Israel were in this day and time.
and then Jesus appears on the road…
and walks with them…
the two didn’t even recognize Him…
because they didn’t really know Him…
they THOUGHT Jesus had come to this world to redeem them from oppression by their enemies…
that He was maybe a political or military Messiah…
but He really came to save us…
to save us from ourselves…
and our slavery to sin.
But the two were so focused on themselves…
their problems, their issues, their misconceptions of what it all meant…
that they failed to see the beauty of The Good Shepherd…
and the journey.
maybe the journey down this road is just as important as the destination?
while the straight and narrow road may be less crowded than the way of the world, we’re NEVER alone walking on this road through life because:
- we have Him, and
- we have commUNITY in the group of all fellow believers.
so have a Happy Monday…
be faithful along the road…
and
“Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart” – 1 Peter 1:22
be Happy and know that there is Good News…
and peace, love, joy and hope in The Good Shepherd 🙂
