I’m not big into TV shows, or movies, we got texting on our phones about a year ago, and there several other “cultural” factors that we aren’t heavily involved with. However, I do try to be aware of what’s going on. Long-term I’m not sure if that will negatively impact my influence. But I do try to be genuine, and visit with people across multiple generations. Of course, reading has helped too.

Our disciple groups include adults of all ages, mine has people from college aged to their 70’s – singles, married, etc. It is nice because I learn so much from their different perspectives. Some of the younger crowd is really sharp and knows the Lord very well. That inspires me!
