Oh boy… I know Jesus turned water into wine and all that but I think what some are finding in the bottle is foolishness and not courage or inspiration (as they are seeking). Just sayin’… got lots of feedback on this one today… now I’m going to go get my Chick-Fil-Anthropy on (again!). 😉

Amen Neil, that’s pretty awesome bro! The drums and God… we could go on and on about that!!

About CR, excellent program. I see people today that mask their reality with alcohol… sad as when we wake up in the morning and look around the reality is still there… and it’s all just a bigger mess than before! Fortunately, God and the good people who really love you and care are there for you unconditionally to help pick you up again. That’s a promise that you can ALWAYS count on 😉

I was at my wife’s church a while back and was talking to someone about my job as a geologist. When I started talking about my band (3 Blocks West) and that we play at Celebrate Recovery as well as my passion of playing drums for God, they pointed out that I am not a geologist but I am God’s drummer. This made alot of sense to me. The snag is that I would prefer to actually make a living playing drums for God. I guess (seeing as we ran out of $ before we finished our CD back in 2009) that making money doing this may not be His plan for me. We really see people get help at CR and His plan for us may be to be a part of that ministry instead of doing this (again with God at the focus) for financial gain. Tough to reconcile this fact sometimes, but I know He has a plan for my life. Who am I to argue with that?

This was a fun post. I haven’t watched Jungle Book for a decade.

I desire tremendous publication success. My trouble is that I constantly fight against having the courage to toot my horn; plug my stuff; SUB(mit) my stuff. Yes, I need to keep asking God to give me courage and let me know if my desires are in line with His (or not).
