lol... I think those extra nudges and gentle kicks from God are called His providential will - that's when it is His way because He is God.

"The Church" is at work when it's out in the community doing good... that is, the connected believers are scattered doing God's work and spreading the good news. I guess in that sense we still are a portable church :-)

Chris, I must say I really like the sign for your church (at least I'm guessing it's for your church). The design is stylish and eye-catching.

There are some days when I want to go back in time but then realize it's not worth it. The things I've gone through and the changes I've experienced have been for a reason.

Change is hard for me. I love thinking "INside the box," hanging out where I am, being as close to a turtle as I can (slow and steady). But I understand that God wants change of the "moving forward" type and fortunately He seems to understand that He needs to give me extra nudges and gentle kicks to get there.

My dad was a pastor and lots of his churches met in schools. I don't know how many folks used to show up early to set up, but I really felt happy when we had a solid, brick and mortar "home." Looking back, I realize I didn't quite understand the concept of a church body. Hey! I've changed!

That's a really good way of looking at it TC, focusing on the blessing that the change brings. Thanks for adding to this!

Sometimes we think we want change. We work towards it but then when it comes we miss how it used to be. I guess that's just part of life. The trick is not to look back and miss the blessings the change brings. I know I'm guilty of romanticizing the past due to challenges in the present, but thankfully, if I'm objective, I can see the good and bad in both. Then commit it all to Christ!
