In some ways, we’re very simple… yet, very complex. Most of life is just that way too.

I was reading a Michael Hyatt post from a couple of days ago… Â bad habits and how to “Just Stop It”… Bob Newhart handed this advice out for next to nothing… freely… this advice seems pretty simple really… like God’s grace, in a way, I guess…

Step into my friend Moe’s world… two days ago Moe’s world and post were filled with “background noise”… this background noise, The Rush And The Roar, is the stuff of life…

Background noise… at times it seems like background noise whitewashes out the eternally relevant and significant…

When we toss our lives into one big box we find that the background noise can be rather loud… it’s there for Bob Newhart’s patient… for Moe… and for me too. The world around me hasn’t really changed all that much… background noise… it’s still there… but by making this one simple adjustment my whole world has changed… what is it?

My Focus.

My focus has changed. This was a slow process for me. It started many years ago. Why did it take so long for me? It does for many of us. Maybe that’s the way God wants it? Maybe that’s the only way we learn and grow… because we’re human.

My focus… it seems to me like I write about this a lot… so I did a word search for “focus” on my blog… sure enough, as I expected, I have been writing focus quite a bit lately… in every category… Soul Food… Breathing Deep… and Peace, Love & Unity…

How did I change my focus? Wow, and I thought this would be an easy post to write! Maybe this is a good book waiting to be written… if I had to sum it up I would say that putting God first in my life changed my focus… yep… like I said… very simple… yet very complex.

Want more? Try this… focus on that which is true… noble… right… pure… lovely… and admirable…

Focus…

In some ways we’re very simple…Â yet… at the same time… we’re very complex.

Most of life is just that way too.

Can you think of one area of your life where changing your focus could have a positive impact?

The post Focus: How This One Simple Adjustment Changed My Whole World first appeared on I'm Just Thinkin'.

The post Focus: How This One Simple Adjustment Changed My Whole World appeared first on I'm Just Thinkin'.

Sometimes we have to be intentional to focus, or point ourself in the right direction. I wrote about The Elusive Buried Treasure in a previous post… emphasizing the importance of our focus on God and our everyday blessings… and how honestly evaluating what makes you happy (i.e., where is your “buried treasure”) and adjusting your priorities can be key to having a winning day… every day!

When this transformation takes place and you live in the positive more and more good things start to happen. It’s also contagious, rubbing off on the people around you. They see it, and may even ask you what’s up? And there’s your opportunity to receive an even bigger blessing – sharing the Good News to an open ear.

This is all just a matter of focusing on the right things, and living our lives for Him…

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29 : 11-13

He has a pretty awesome plan for a winning everyday!

What do you do to help you focus on the positive in your everyday life?

The post Focusing On Having A Winning Everyday first appeared on I'm Just Thinkin'.

The post Focusing On Having A Winning Everyday appeared first on I'm Just Thinkin'.
