I too have found myself doing those things you mentioned about being still and listening. Like you- nothing earth shattering, but that quite assurance that I am on the right track, growing in His love and sharing that with others. I love the image of putting oil in the lamp. Wish we could be like the woman with the neighborhood jars filled to the brim or the temple lamps that burned for 9 days straight.

I keep little sentence prayers stuck on the front of my fridge. As often as I’m at the fridge in a day, they’re a great reminder to fill-er-up (the oil, that is).
